The physicians and staff at PIEDMONT ORTHOPEDICS realize that your time is valuable, and we will make every effort to respect your schedule while providing the highest quality care. For better service, please make an appointment during our office hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. For appointments call our main number at 336-275-0927. 

New Patient First Visits
If you are a new patient, welcome. We ask that you arrive ten minutes early to your appointment to complete necessary paperwork and bring your current insurance card.

Pre-Op Surgical Appointments
We would like to remind all surgical patients to bring your completed history and physical forms, and current insurance card to your scheduled pre-op history and physical appointment.

Fees and Insurance

Fees
In order to maintain our fees at competitive levels, we ask that you pay for our office services at the time they are rendered. Co-payments are due at Check-in. If you find that this is not possible, our staff will assist you in developing a payment schedule. A patient is responsible for any fees not paid by their insurance company or Medicare.

Workers’ Comp Claims
Our practice has extensive experience in caring for injured workers. If you have a verified workers’ compensation injury, we will be glad to file all information for you. Please call 336-235-4315 if you have any need or question concerning Workers’ Comp.

Insurance
PIEDMONT ORTHOPEDICS works with most major insurance companies. Contracts between our patients and insurance carriers vary widely. You should be familiar with your coverage. For your convenience, we will be happy to submit claims to your insurance carrier and we accept fee assignment of Medicare claims. A patient is responsible for any fees not paid by their insurance company or Medicare. You are responsible for referrals and pre-certifications with your insurance. Emergencies, Prescription Refills, and Other Medical Questions

Emergencies
When you have an orthopaedic emergency, please call our Office immediately. Our telephone is answered twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our goal is to treat Orthopedic emergencies as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Most lacerations and fractures can be handled in our office. If your emergency occurs outside of regular office hours, call 336-275-0927. Our operator will immediately relay your name and phone number to a physician on call. The Doctor or their Physician Assistant will then contact you directly and make arrangements for treatment. If your injury is “life or limb threatening”, call 911.

Prescription Refills
If you are calling for a prescription refill, please call your pharmacist, who will contact us for approval. This process allows your physician and pharmacy to review and complete your request more efficiently. Be certain to call your pharmacy before your supply of medication runs out, to allow sufficient time for the approval process. If you need a new prescription, leave a message and your doctor or physician assistant will get back with you. And please note that we do not fill prescriptions on the weekend. We welcome calls concerning your care & treatment. Our professional staff will be happy to assist you whenever possible. If you need to speak with your doctor, please leave a message.
